Midway through Java and plagued by a particularly quiet ocean, Zye Norris and I made the decision to venture away from the coastline and up into the mountains. Our moto mate Agi Agassi had told us that if we drove to a town two-and-a-half kilometers above sea level we’d find three active volcanoes. He said it was breathtaking sight, and the surrounding area was a dream for camping and motorcycle riding.
