IN THE MOOD FOR MUD

IN THE MOOD FOR MUD
When on the plain fall fog and frost, and our fields turn gray and muddy it’s time of cyclocross. A fil rouge that links city parks, vineyards, sandpits, fallow fields and any green area throughout our hemisphere, the only important thing is that it’s as muddy as possible. Forty-five minutes at breakneck speed and high heart rate, with the mud in the eyes and the taste of grass in the mouth; forty-five minutes to scramble bikes and riders. And a few hours after the race fulfilled with good food, high fives and several beers. This year the crew of Deus Cycleworks will attend the SCIS - Singlespeed Cross Italian Series, the most entertaining championship of cyclism. Bicycles with a single gear, but a lot of self-irony and fun. A big thank you to tornanti.cc for the magnificent pics, the guys from Ghetto Cross for the company and to all the Tigers for the hospitality. https://www.instagram.com/tornanti_cc/ https://www.facebook.com/tornanti.cc https://www.facebook.com/singlecrossitalianseries https://www.facebook.com/tigersbpc Quando sulla pianura cala la nebbia e il gelo e le nostre campagne diventano grigie e fangose è giunta l’ora del cyclocross.

On the edge of Harajuku, a bold new sign has risen - The Residence of Impermanence - in Harajuku, Tokyo, is back. Art, surfboards, motorcycles, apparel, café, music - a place where all kinds of enthusiasms collide. Step inside to the Deus Café - a breezy open ceiling space, serving all-day breakfast and the perfect energy for every moment. We're not ones to argue with that. Climb the spiral staircase to surfboards quietly lined against a softly lit backdrop.

Shaped exclusively for the Residence by Takuya “Tappy” Yoshikawa, Tetsuya Ogawa, and Jared Mell, each board is one of a kind. Sofas once beloved at the former Harajuku store — crafted by TRUCK Furniture and Stephen Kenn — have been reupholstered and brought to life for their next chapter. They’ll take on new character with time — just like this place. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the flow.

Same name. New form. The spirit remains, just slightly rearranged. Come in, stay awhile. Find us at 2-32-5 Jingumae, Shibuya-Ku, BPR Square Jingumae 1-1F & 2F Tokyo.
