Deni Firdaus

Deni Firdaus comes from a remote beach town in West Java, Indonesia, called Batu Karas. Although the town’s major industry is growing rice, people in the town collect vintage cars, ride custom 2-stroke motorbikes and love to longboard. This isn't your typical Indonesian village. But this is home to Deni. It's where his father taught him to surf. Where he drew inspiration from Husni Ridwan, another local and former Indonesian long boarding champion and mentor. Deni's surfing has taken him around the globe to compete in log competitions in India, Sri Lanka, Portugal and the Philipines.

He's been teaching people to surf there for what now seems eons. He's married and more recently had a beautiful daughter but these aren't impacting his stoke in any way, in fact they only seem to enhance it.
