A moment for us to feel very proud, in a year everyone would rather forget Deus has opened one of its most ambitious and eclectic Temples in the city of Seoul, South Korea. The Foundry of Fortuity was designed, built and opened in less than 6 months of incredibly hard work during the challenges of 2020.
Working with the team at Andrea Caputo architecture in Milano the crew at WorksOut demolished two buildings, built a 5 star bakery and laid asphalt in the retail store.
Located in the heart of Hongdae, a suburb built on a foundation of artistic endeavour since the 90s, Hongdae has been a nexus for urban art, indie music and a wealth of round the clock entertainment.
Located within walking distance from Picasso’s street, the Foundry serves as a welcoming pitstop, attracting a multifarious army of enthusiasts to its halls. With the unique brick and metal industrial exterior and tall glass walls, it creates an energetic and inviting open space that shines amongst its neighbours.
Within our new Seoul location, its gallery space is home to a cornucopia of Deus goodness. The glass fronted bakery is manned by bake-ologists poached from the Four Seasons (hotel, not landscaping) and bean whispering extraordinaire, attracting aficionados of the flakey pastry and the internally combusted.
