SnowQuake II: Fun Race on ICE

SnowQuake II: Fun Race on ICE
Outside the window is white snow and the thermometer has plummeted to -15 centigrade (5 fahrenheit). The last thing that comes to any sane person’s mind is a motorcycle ride… Unless you plan to go to Snow Quake. This was the second edition with the same formula and 2016’s original: friends, fine motorcycles, spikes, ice race track in the Italian Alps and vin brulè well blended by Deus Cafe crew at the "base camp" set up by 100FA Vintage. This year over 50 riders took part in three categories. Inappropriate, vintage and racers enjoyed sliding on ice deep in the valley, surrounded by Alpine walls of granite. Three men demonstrated superior chest hairs by finishing on the podium in the Snow Quake Superfinal for the best of the best: Mr. Bussei (1st), Mr Belli (2nd) and Mr. Jansen (3rd) took home the trophies, but every single rider won their personal race with the cold, slippery and unfamiliar ice. Smiles and fun was the leitmotif of the second edition of Snow Quake, event organized by Sideburn and Deus Milano with sponsorship from Fastersons and Icon 100 and additional support from DI TRAVERSO and DTRA, ensuring a safe and professional race organization. Long life to Snow Quake. We look forward next January. Foto: Marco Renieri

On the edge of Harajuku, a bold new sign has risen - The Residence of Impermanence - in Harajuku, Tokyo, is back. Art, surfboards, motorcycles, apparel, café, music - a place where all kinds of enthusiasms collide. Step inside to the Deus Café - a breezy open ceiling space, serving all-day breakfast and the perfect energy for every moment. We're not ones to argue with that. Climb the spiral staircase to surfboards quietly lined against a softly lit backdrop.

Shaped exclusively for the Residence by Takuya “Tappy” Yoshikawa, Tetsuya Ogawa, and Jared Mell, each board is one of a kind. Sofas once beloved at the former Harajuku store — crafted by TRUCK Furniture and Stephen Kenn — have been reupholstered and brought to life for their next chapter. They’ll take on new character with time — just like this place. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the flow.
