THE LAMINA NERA
The sought after Wood frame and Rotax motor had slept silently in the Deus LA workshop for years.

This extended slumber was rudely ended when we decided to ship the chassis and engine, along with other original parts sourced in the USA. to Italy.
Once it landed at the Deus Workshop Milano our mechanics added some elbow grease and expertise to create this stunning race bike.

A chromoly Ron Wood Racing frame and a Rotax motor is the basis of the quintessential flat track bike, but only the basis. We upgraded the Grimeca brakes with a custom-made Discacciati system.
The seat and tank come from Redmax UK and those radical, vintage alloy wheels are from Californian specialists, Performance Machine. We asked our TFX Suspension friends in the Netherlands to build track-specific shock absorbers to enhance performance and maximize traction. They combine with the R6 front forks, which were prepared by Oram.
An electric starter makes everything easier on race day.
One of the more exciting parts is the sound of this machine: DBR custom built the exhaust combined with USA racing sourced silencer.

The bike is racing in the @deustandfun Cup, where Deus Milano's own Marco is battling in the Thunderbike class. Check the dates and join us at the the races. The bike also features in Sideburn 54 - available from Deus Milano.

On the edge of Harajuku, a bold new sign has risen - The Residence of Impermanence - in Harajuku, Tokyo, is back. Art, surfboards, motorcycles, apparel, café, music - a place where all kinds of enthusiasms collide. Step inside to the Deus Café - a breezy open ceiling space, serving all-day breakfast and the perfect energy for every moment. We're not ones to argue with that. Climb the spiral staircase to surfboards quietly lined against a softly lit backdrop.

Shaped exclusively for the Residence by Takuya “Tappy” Yoshikawa, Tetsuya Ogawa, and Jared Mell, each board is one of a kind. Sofas once beloved at the former Harajuku store — crafted by TRUCK Furniture and Stephen Kenn — have been reupholstered and brought to life for their next chapter. They’ll take on new character with time — just like this place. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the flow.

Same name. New form. The spirit remains, just slightly rearranged. Come in, stay awhile. Find us at 2-32-5 Jingumae, Shibuya-Ku, BPR Square Jingumae 1-1F & 2F Tokyo.
