LAND is the creative vision of Austin-based artists Caleb Everitt and Ryan Rhodes along with their custodian of exertions Kyle Von Muller.
Together they have been instrumental in producing art and design for Deus Ex Machina over many years – almost since the dawn of the Temple.
Their signature aesthetic showcases a deep affinity with departed design tradition, time-worn patinas and forgotten spiritual symbolism. Recurring themes from mortality to nature and industrialization weaves through their work with a primitive nuance and ineffable voodoo, finding inspiration from hiking and riding dirt bikes thru the rustic landscapes and abandoned farmland around their Texas home.
Much of the art in the collection pieces are from the new work LAND did for their 'Friends Of Death' show at the Residence of Impermanence in Tokyo, Japan. The pieces feature embroidery, chain stitching, patchwork and textures that capture the timeless quality of the artwork and celebrates the harmonic alchemy that is Deus and LAND.
