Deus Gallery presents: Sentimental He-Art Club Launch
SENTIMENTAL HE-ART CLUB The Deus Gallery, Canggu, celebrated the launch of its latest exhibition from internationally-renowned local artist Ryan Ady Putra last night, a full house enjoying his vibrant work. Ryan’s latest collection, titled, Sentimental He-Art Club, is a statement upon contemporary society’s absorption into the world of social media. The Deus Gallery buzzed with talk, laughter and good vibes, complimentary Albens Cider and Plaga Wine flowing as free as the conversation, Ryan on hand to deliver commentary on his work and the inspiration behind his creations. Ryan’s work is gaining significant global following and the local crowd and visiting guests enjoyed the premiere of his latest series. Reflecting the ever-growing immersion into a world online, his work bares subtexts to re-awaken our physical selves, reconnecting heart and mind to bring us the message that we are not the Photoshopped, edited and filtered images of perfection that we present across social media, but that we are worth more than just a Like. Live DJ tunes took the evening beyond sunset and the first evening of this five-week exhibition at the Deus Gallery was a resounding success. Sentimental He-Art Club is on exhibition until May 15 at the Deus Gallery, Temple of Enthusiasm, Canggu, so join us if you’re in the area and peruse this excellent collection of inspirational work by Ryan Ady Putra. On the edge of Harajuku, a bold new sign has risen - The Residence of Impermanence - in Harajuku, Tokyo, is back. Art, surfboards, motorcycles, apparel, café, music - a place where all kinds of enthusiasms collide. Step inside to the Deus Café - a breezy open ceiling space, serving all-day breakfast and the perfect energy for every moment. We're not ones to argue with that. Climb the spiral staircase to surfboards quietly lined against a softly lit backdrop.

Shaped exclusively for the Residence by Takuya “Tappy” Yoshikawa, Tetsuya Ogawa, and Jared Mell, each board is one of a kind. Sofas once beloved at the former Harajuku store — crafted by TRUCK Furniture and Stephen Kenn — have been reupholstered and brought to life for their next chapter. They’ll take on new character with time — just like this place. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the flow.

Same name. New form. The spirit remains, just slightly rearranged. Come in, stay awhile. Find us at 2-32-5 Jingumae, Shibuya-Ku, BPR Square Jingumae 1-1F & 2F Tokyo.
