Deus Cycle Sunday

Deus Cycle Sunday

30th August. Sunday, Windy Sunday.

The smell of fresh brewed coffee is welcoming our riders in the Deus Café & Restaurant at the Amsterdam canals. It’s a familiar and comforting smell that feels just like home on a Sunday morning. But this Sunday morning we swopped our pyjamas for our Cycle Gear. Not only to claim our free coffee - those who rock up in cycle gear get a free coffee or beer - but also to kick off our first Cycle Sunday with a bunch of likeminded enthusiasts. Everyone’s in a good mood and ready to roll.

Our lounge soon fills up with Deus friends and cycle enthusiasts. We kick off with a coffee and some bad jokes (aren’t those the best ones?) and big stories, only to wait for the last legends to join the team and to roll out around noon. Bart & George, leaders of the pack have crafted up a special route for this first edition touching Amsterdam finest sceneries.

We decided to do a short 30 km trip as some of our guys had done 220 km Cycle Trip the day before and the wind was gusting like crazy. We cycled a very beautiful route along the Ronde Hoep along the Amstel river south of Amsterdam, facing the beauty and all elements of the Dutch weather. After 2 hours of cycling fun we headed back to Deus to enjoy a well-deserved lunch and relaxed cooling down.

The Amsterdam Cycle Sunday will be held every last Sunday of the month, starting at Deus Amsterdam at 11:00 to roll out at 12:00 and to finish at Deus around 3. The route will be different each time and the level depend on the average level of the group to keep it accessible for everyone.

Put on your tight pants and join us for the next ride!

On the edge of Harajuku, a bold new sign has risen - The Residence of Impermanence - in Harajuku, Tokyo, is back. Art, surfboards, motorcycles, apparel, café, music - a place where all kinds of enthusiasms collide. Step inside to the Deus Café - a breezy open ceiling space, serving all-day breakfast and the perfect energy for every moment. We're not ones to argue with that. Climb the spiral staircase to surfboards quietly lined against a softly lit backdrop.

Shaped exclusively for the Residence by Takuya “Tappy” Yoshikawa, Tetsuya Ogawa, and Jared Mell, each board is one of a kind. Sofas once beloved at the former Harajuku store — crafted by TRUCK Furniture and Stephen Kenn — have been reupholstered and brought to life for their next chapter. They’ll take on new character with time — just like this place. We invite you to settle in and enjoy the flow.
